After joining IEC in 2011 and creating a services unit for IEC members, Jan-Henrik created the IEC Academy & Capacity Building in 2017 by harmonizing all learning and capacity building efforts and creating a services portfolio for the 172 member countries of IEC. In 2020 the participation had already increased to over 60000 learners profiting from this new academy. In 2022 Jan-Henrik handed over the IEC Academy to one of his staff members and joined Swiss Industry
