I have always been interested in how things fit together.
Organisations, technologies, markets and people all have their own logic. My work is to understand those logics and create a structure in which they can produce something stronger together.
Career narrative
I trained as an architect and began my career working with CAD, 3D visualisation and digital project platforms. What interested me most was not the technology alone, but the way it changed collaboration, decisions and what organisations could deliver.
That curiosity took me into national and international standardization. At DIN, ISO and IEC, I learned how complex systems really change: through credible expertise, clear governance, patient alignment and the ability to translate an international ambition into something that works locally.
Over time, I moved from improving processes to building organisations. I created international functions, brought dispersed teams together, developed digital and commercial platforms, built expert networks and led work across corporate, governmental and institutional boundaries.
Today, I am most effective where there is no simple answer. This is where specialist knowledge, legacy structures, market expectations and different stakeholder interests must become one executable direction.
How I work
I listen carefully and ask direct questions. I make complexity visible without making it simplistic. I give direction, define responsibilities and create room for people to take ownership.
I value transparency, fairness, independence in teams and high standards. I am comfortable making decisions, but I want those decisions to be understood and supported by evidence.
International work has made me attentive to context. A model that succeeds in one country, profession or organisation cannot simply be imposed on another. The principles may travel; the implementation must respect people and reality.
Beyond the organisational chart
Photography, music, art and design remain important parts of my life. They sharpen how I observe people, composition and detail. I also have a lasting interest in coffee culture: the places, conversations and small rituals through which people connect.
I live in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and work internationally in German, English and French.
